Parmesan Garlic Chicken Wings

Boy do we love chicken wings.  Every time I cook them Bob always comments “these are so good”.  Heck, our first lunch date was at Hooters.  For the wings.  Yes indeed.

Parmesan Garlic Chicken Wings

Sauce:

  • 2/3 cup Frank’s or Crystal Louisiana Hot Sauce
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Tabasco
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • crushed garlic cloves (2 or 3)

In a small saucepan, bring to a slight simmer on stove.  Remove as soon as it starts to bubble.

This is enough sauce for a LOT of wings.  You be the judge of how many you want to cook and adjust amounts accordingly.

Wings:

  • Large package chicken wing pieces (or whole wings)
  • Pink Sea Salt and pepper
  • Fresh Parmesan Cheese, grated

Rinse wings.  Place on a large baking pan (cookie sheet) covered with non-stick aluminum foil.  Season with salt and pepper.  Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.  Remove from oven, place wings in a large mixing bowl.  Pour sauce over wings and gently stir to cover all parts with sauce.  Place wings back on baking pan.  Place back in oven for 10 minutes or so.  Adjust cooking times to the size of your wings.  After sauce has cooked a bit into the wings, top with fresh grated Parmesan cheese.  (Fresh grated makes all the difference!)  Serve with your favorite sides.  Diced avocado and tomato topped with sour cream are one of our favorites.
